O'Hare International Airport (ORD) publishes the parking products listed below. Rates are the current drive-up daily maximums; pre-booked rates are usually 10–30 percent lower. Click any product to see the airport's reservation page.
| Lot / Garage | Hourly | Daily | Access to terminal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hourly Lot 1 Short term | $5/hr | $40/day | Direct walk to Terminals 1, 2, 3 |
| Daily Lot D Daily | — | $40/day | Short walk to Terminals |
| Economy Lot E Economy | — | $20/day | Free shuttle every 10 minutes |
| Economy Lot G (International) Economy | — | $17/day | Free shuttle to Terminal 5 |
Money-saving tip: WallyPark ORD at $15/day with a 24/7 shuttle is dramatically cheaper than on-airport Economy E and competitive on shuttle time. For a multi-day trip, off-site is the right call.
How the on-site lots compare at ORD
The cheapest on-airport long-term option at ORD works for trips of four days or more, where the per-day savings outweigh the shuttle wait. For one- to three-day trips, the daily terminal garage is usually the better total-time call once you factor in the shuttle to and from a long-term lot.
Hourly parking is for pickups and meetings of less than four hours; rates climb steeply after the first hour at every airport. The cell phone waiting lot is free and is the right place to wait for an arriving passenger — pulling to the arrivals curb early forces you into a recirculation loop that at busy hubs like ORD can cost 15–25 minutes.
Off-airport parking near ORD
Independent operators within a few miles of ORD typically undercut on-airport economy by $3–$8 per day. The trade-off is shuttle frequency.
| Lot | Daily rate | Shuttle |
|---|---|---|
| WallyPark ORD | $15/day | 24/7 free shuttle every 10 minutes |
| The Parking Spot O'Hare | $18/day | Valet handoff |
Rideshare and ground transportation
Uber and Lyft pick up at the new ORD Multi-Modal Facility (MMF), reached by the free Airport Transit System (ATS) people mover from each terminal. Surcharge $5.00. The ATS adds about 10 minutes total.
For full ground-transport details — rental car center, transit fares, hotel shuttle locations — see the ORD ground transportation guide.
Accessible parking at ORD
Accessible spaces are reserved on every level of the on-site garages at ORD and are the closest spaces to each terminal entrance. A valid disability placard or plate is required. Wheelchair-accessible shuttle service is available from the long-term and economy lots — request it from any shuttle driver or via the airport's accessibility line.
