Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) operates a full suite of passenger services across its terminals. The breadth of offerings reflects the airport's role as a connection point for travelers from every demographic, and each service is staffed and signed in a way that makes it findable without an app or a map.
Lounges
Airline lounges at BUF include each hub carrier's flagship club as well as third-party lounges accessible via Priority Pass, American Express Centurion, Capital One, Chase Sapphire, and similar credit-card programs. Hours and access policies vary; confirm before traveling, as some lounges restrict access during peak hours to reduce crowding.
Wi-Fi and charging
Free Wi-Fi is available across BUF. Login is straightforward and bandwidth is sufficient for video calls in most areas. Charging stations are clustered in the gate areas, with both standard outlets and USB-A/USB-C ports. Premium-cabin gate areas usually have additional charging banks.
Family services
Family restrooms with adult-size and child-size fixtures are located in every concourse. Nursing rooms are provided through the Mamava program — look for the freestanding pods at gate areas and near family restrooms. Children's play areas exist in several terminals; consult the airport's published terminal map for current locations.
Accessibility services
BUF provides wheelchair assistance from curb to gate (and gate to curb) at no charge; request the service through your airline at the time of booking or on arrival at the curb. TSA Cares is available for travelers with medical conditions or disabilities who would benefit from screening assistance. Service-animal relief areas are located both pre-security and post-security in every terminal and are clearly signed.
Pet relief areas
Both pre-security and post-security pet relief areas are provided at BUF. Pre-security areas are located outside the terminals near baggage claim. Post-security areas are inside the secure zone and clearly signed at every concourse intersection.
Medical and emergency services
An emergency medical services team is on duty 24 hours a day at BUF and can be reached by dialing the airport's posted emergency number from any white courtesy phone or by approaching any uniformed airport staff member. Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are mounted at regular intervals throughout the terminals.
Lost and found
Items left at security checkpoints are held by TSA. Items left at airline gates or onboard aircraft are held by the airline. Items left in shuttle buses, restrooms, or public concourse areas are held by the airport's lost-and-found office. Each operator has a separate online claim form; the airport's website routes inquiries to the right party.
Worship and quiet rooms
Multifaith chapels and meditation rooms are open at BUF during all operating hours. Locations are noted on the airport's published terminal map.
